Edinburg Water Leaks

4 January 2019 News

The Town of Edinburg in Shenandoah County has been suffering from low water pressure  and an apparent water leak for much of the month of December.  While the town has been working on the problem for most of last month, they have not yet been able to identify the source of the problem. The leak was believed to be located in a section of pipe that crossed a creek; but after the pipe was pressurized and tested, no leak was found. The town is continuing to work with a leak detection company to find the problem, shutting down parts of the town water supply and depressurizing it to locate potential leaks. The towns Facebook page indicated that leak detection and possible repairs would be going on in the area of main street which would potentially affect the supply of water to residents in the area.
