Expect traffic delays in Warren County today 1/31
Warren County Fire and Rescue, Front Royal Police Department, Warren County Sheriff’s Office and Virginia Department of Transportation are anticipating traffic delays during the funeral services for District Fire Chief Homer Larry Cross.
Today Jan. 31 motorist can expect congestion in the area of Riverton between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. as the chief’s service will be held at the Riverton United Methodist Church.
The intersection of 522 and 55 will be temporarily closed while the procession leaves the church.
The procession will be traveling West on Strasburg Road to Panorama Memorial Gardens where delays can be expected in the Waterlick area.
Fort Valley Road will be closed from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with detours and police direction in place during the time frame.
