A new scam unlike any other has come to the attention of Fauquier County Authorities. What looks like an official note from your mortgage company
may appear on the door of your home. The note claims that locks will be changed or winterization to the property will be performed. You will be
encouraged to call a number on the form. This is a scam, do not call that number, or provide any personnel information or financial information. As a
reminder if there are ever legitimate concerns about your property you will be contacted through official channels and not through a random note on the
door.
