The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) report the arrest of two men attempting to steal and sell scrap metal.

The call was received around 4:20 a.m. on January 29.

The general manager of the property was called and told authorities that no one had permission to be on the county property and load metal.
After the manager estimated that the two men had approximately $2,500 worth of scrap metal in their vehicles.
The men were also found to be in possession of power tools and narcotics and paraphernalia.
