FCSO responds to another barricade situation

Frederick County Sheriff’s Office responded to a second barricade situation this year.

Michael McGhee got into an argument with a female in a residence on Martinsburg Pike.

McGhee told the woman  that he wanted to kill himself.

The female fled the residence taking the couple’s 6 year old with her.

Calling police she informed them that McGhee  had been drinking had a hunting type rifle and had fired a shot inside the home.

After attempts to talk the subject out failed chemical agents were deployed twice.

McGhee finally surrendered without further incident and is being held in the Adult Detention Center without bond.
