Local FEMA Employee Arrested for Child Pornography

4 September 2018 News

A FEMA employee and former area disc jockey was sentenced in Loudoun County Circuit Court on Friday (8/31/18) for downloading child pornography.

43-year-old Stephens City resident Jonathan Derek Riley, known as “J-Rock” during his time as disc jockey at WINC-FM in the 1990s, was an active program specialist at FEMA’s Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center when suspicious traffic was first detected on his computer in June of 2016. After 14 images of child pornography were discovered on his work computer, Homeland Security began an investigation that culminated in a search of Riley’s home in July of 2017, where downloaded videos of child porn were discovered. Riley was sentenced on two counts of possession of child pornography Friday, and will serve a total of a year in prison.
