FRONT ROYAL – The 49th annual Festival of Leaves will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 12.
This year’s Festival will include an array of activities, entertainment, and food. It will kick off officially at 10 a.m. when the Warren County High School Band leads a parade through downtown Front Royal.
Attendees can stick around the Gazebo in the town commons to catch various performances. Warren County High and Skyline High School will perform one act plays, and dance routines will be performed by the Northern Virginia Academy of Ballet and the Jig and Jive swing kids group. Live musical selections include the Old Lady Afro band, and Ryan Jewell.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Chester St. will host a truck show, and during the entire day Heritage Square will play host to several different historical adventures and learning experiences.
The Festival of Leaves is a large fundraiser for the Warren Heritage Society.
