Firms Picked for Winchester Schools Renovation Projects
Winchester Public Schools has partnered with two firms for its Historic Douglas School and Shihadeh Innovation Center renovation projects.
Winchester Public Schools issued a request for proposals for Construction Management at Risk services for the Shihadeh Innovation Center and Douglas School renovations in May of 2019. Of the two firms that submitted bids, Howard Shockey and Sons came in with the lowest pricing. School Board members selected their $2,122,643 at their Monday (6/24/2019) business meeting. WPS also issued an RFP for Design Services in March of 2019. Their proposal analysis group interviewed four firms before unanimously recommending the firm CJMW from Lynchburg; board members accepted their $576,000 offer to design the new historic Douglas School.
