Follow up on Mon.’s barricade situation in Luray

As a follow up to the barricade situation in Luray on Sept. 26 police have a made an arrest.

According to the Page Valley News  Luray Police have arrested Jeffery Wright of Spotsylvania County.

After repeated attempts to get Wright out of the barricaded home in the 300 block of  Luray Avenue failed authorities forced their way in.

There they found Wright and a 15 year old female in the attic of the residence.

The female had been reported missing from another jurisdiction two months earlier.

As to why the two barricaded themselves in the home it is still being determined.

At this time Wright is only charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle but the investigation is ongoing.

Initially it was believed that Wright was holding Savannah Lee Emigh a 22 year old missing female from Mineral Virginia.

Louisa County Sheriff’s Office reported that Emigh was tracked to the Luray area.

Emigh was not with Wright and has been found safe according to Louisa County Authorities.
