Former EDA Director Denied Bond

Former Warren County EDA Director Jennifer McDonald was denied bond Tuesday (5/28/2019) in Warren County Circuit Court.
McDonald was arrested by the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Culpeper Field Office on the evening of Friday, May 24, and faces two felony charges each of embezzlement and fraud. State Police launched the investigation into her alleged wrongdoing in August of 2018. According to a Tuesday (5/28/2019) release, the charges against McDonald stem from her misuse of funds between 2014 and 2018 while employed with the Warren County EDA. The investigation into McDonald’s actions is ongoing.
