Former Police Chief/Sheriff’s Deputy passes away at 73

The Front Royal Police Department and Page County Sheriff’s Office announced the passing of a former employee.

Larry Daniels who served as a Page County Sheriff’s Deputy and later became the Front Royal Police chief passed away Thursday Mar. 17.

Officer Daniels joined the Front Royal Police Department in 1979 after leaving the Page County Sheriff’s Office.

Daniels was promoted to Chief of Police in 1986 and served until he retired in 2000.

During retirement he went back to the Page County Sheriff’s Office from Sept. 2000 to Oct. 2019 serving as the County’s Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court Bailiff.

Services for Daniels will be held Wed. Mar. 23 at 1 p.m. at the Riverton United Methodist Church.

Daniels is survived by wife, two daughters and four grand children and mother in-law he was 73 years of age.
