Frederick County Authorities address misconduct at school

Frederick County Sheriff Lenny Millholand confirmed by phone that Deputies and Frederick County School officials are investigating a report of misconduct at school.

Reportedly a substitute teacher had inappropriate sexual contact with a student.

Sheriff Millholland confirmed the investigation was completed Jan. 25 and has been handed over to the commonwealth attorney who will determine the next step.

There have been no charges filed at this time.

The substitute teacher is no longer employed by Frederick County Public Schools.

Both Law Enforcement and school staff followed established procedures to investigate the matter.

In accordance with Frederick County Public Schools’ policy no additional information can be released at this time.
