Frederick County encourages using contactless services to pay taxes
The Office of the Treasurer of Frederick County is reminding citizens that annual tax bills for real estate and personal property are due on or before Dec. 7.
With COVID-19 cases on the rise, individuals are encouraged to utilize contactless payment methods which are as follows:
- Online at www.fredtax.com to pay by e-check or credit card.
- E-check payment of taxes is free and convenient. Credit card payments have a 2.5% service charge.
- The drive-thru window, which is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for vehicle traffic only
- The night drop box, located on the Cameron Street side of 107 N Kent Street (County Office Building). Be sure to seal all envelopes and use the remittance stub from your bill. Put your name and address on the envelope. As always, citizens are welcome to mail payments in the envelope provided.
Individuals with additional questions should contact Frederick County Treasurer Orndorff at firstname.lastname@example.org.
