Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department reports the serving of a murder warrant on a Frederick County inmate.

David Antonio Calderon is also facing 2 malicious assault charges out of Jefferson County.

Video footage shows Calderon in a vehicle in the same area and at the same time as the GPS tracking unit located on the body of a female victim that was missing out of Jefferson County.

The victim was discovered deceased last week in the 100 block of Golf Course Road Martinsburg and has been tied to Calderon.

Calderon had been arrested in Frederick County on the Jefferson County warrants previously.

The suspect is an illegal alien out of El Salvador who had been stopped in March of 2023 at the New York Canadian border seeking asylum in Canada but was turned away.

The victim in the incident was discovered in a Martinsburg couch fire.

The identity of the victim is pending the medical examiner’s DNA analysis.

Calderon is currently in custody awaiting extradition to West Virginia to face the murder and assault charges.
