Frederick County Plans Fall Shred Fest
October 12, 2019
WINCHESTER – Iron Mountain, Inc. will be at the Sunnyside Plaza Shopping Center on Nov. 2 from 9 a.m to 1 p.m for the Frederick County Fall Shred Fest. Local residents can safely destroy old personal documents free of charge that morning.
Locals can bring up to three boxes of paper documents for destruction at no cost. Those in attendance will have to unload their own papers and take home any containers used for the said papers. Community groups and small businesses are also invited to participate in Fall Shred Fest. Any that plan on having more than three boxes/containers should contact Iron Mountain for service, and no documents of destruction will be issued at Fall Shred Fest.
Items that contain staples, paper clips or rubber bands will not need to be altered before destruction. Spiral notebook wires, three-ring binders and electronics are not permitted for destruction.
The Iron Mountain shredder truck will be stationed at the corner of Fox Dr. and North Frederick Pike in the old Food Lion Parking Lot. Iron Mountain will remain in the lot until 1 p.m or when the shredder truck is full.
Cub Scout Pack 3 of Winchester will also be at Fall Shred Fest selling hot dogs and other refreshments. There will also be a collection service for Frederick County’s Once Upon a Child recycling program, which donates stuffed toys to local children in need.
