Frederick County Sheriff Launches Reelection Campaign

26 February 2019 Frederick County News

Late last week, Sheriff Lenny Millholland announced his reelection bid for Sheriff of Frederick County.

Sheriff Millholland’s law enforcement career began in Cumberland, Maryland, where he started out working for the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office. In 1979 he transitioned to the Winchester Police Department, working as a patrol officer, K-9 handler, and eventually a Criminal Investigations Division Lieutenant handling major cases. He was elected Winchester City Sheriff in 2002, where he stayed for 12 years before being elected to his current position as Frederick County Sheriff.

Millholland kicked off his reelection campaign with a Friday night (2/22/2019) event at the Frederick County Public Safety Building, where he was joined by a crowd of supporters. He’ll go head to head this November with Winchester Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Allen Sibert, who launched his campaign on February 8th.
