Frederick County Sheriff’s Office names Lt. Gosnell as first PIO
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) now has a dedicated Public Information Officer (PIO) that will streamline the manner in which the agency releases pertinent information. Lt. Warren W. Gosnell has been chosen for the position and will handle all aspects of the agency’s public notices, new media requests, press releases and social media presence.
Sheriff Lenny Millholland said the FCSO wants to be sure that any information given out is accurate and distributed consistently across the board.
Lt. Gosnell will remain as the agency’s Traffic Safety Coordinator and head of the Traffic Division.
“Warren will continue to oversee our DMV highway safety grants and local traffic projects, purchase and maintain our traffic equipment and coordinate other traffic assignments,” said Sheriff Millholland in a press release. “He will also provide training and education to new recruits, local students and civic groups as well as make public traffic safety presentations.
