WINCHESTER – The Frederick County Government announced updates and new features on their website.
The Frederick County Board of Supervisors has a new meeting portal. Residents can tune in to watch Frederick Board meetings live on the page, or you can open past meetings and agendas.
The main website, “NewsRoom,” needed an update according to Public Information Officer Karen Vacchio. The design of the page has been streamlined, and all forms of Government media can be accessed from tabs on the NewsRoom main page. These media offerings include podcasts, social media, e-notifications, meetings and the County Cable and Youtube Channels.
“We worked through a couple of versions to find the one we felt makes it easy for the end user to find what they are looking for,” Vacchio said in a press release. “This is one-stop-shopping for Frederick County Government information and news. There is a lot going on in Frederick County and we aim to keep everyone up to date.”
Residents can sign up for e-newsletters from the County, the Frederick Economic Development Authority and Parks and Recreation. The social media page links to all the social media accounts for various departments, and there is a link to the County Youtube channel that houses videos of meetings and a variety of pertinent topics in Frederick.
