Frederick Schools’ 12th Elementary School Named

6 December 2018 Winchester Frederick County News

Frederick County Public Schools announced that it has named its new elementary school.

After a School Board vote Tuesday night, the new elementary school being built in Snowden Bridge will be named “Jordan Springs Elementary School.” Construction on Frederick County’s 12th elementary school began in July, and it’s set to open in 2020. The task of naming the incoming school fell to a School Naming Committee comprised of students, parents, school division staff, and community leaders; they weighed dozens of names before submitting their selection to the School Board’s Buildings and Grounds Committee, which forwarded it to the School Board.
