Front Royal Reminds Citizens of New Recycling Rules

9 August 2019 Front Royal/Warren County News

The Town of Front Royal is reminding citizens of its new recycling process, as it works to retrain the community and correct mistakes that make it impossible for the town to accept recycling.

The town officially switched from conventional recycling to Single Stream Recycling on July 10, 2019. That change means that residents will no longer have to separate their recyclables, and all items can be placed in one bin together. The most important factor with single stream recycling is the contamination of the items; all items must be clean with no residue left inside, and all labels must be removed. Cardboard, aluminum, paper, newspaper, telephone books, catalogs, metal cans and plastics are all acceptable.
