Front Royal Considering Changes to Town Charter
25 August 2017 News
Front Royal’s town council is considering possible changes to the town charter. City officials reported that many of the town laws located within the charter are outdated as the town has not made changes to its charter since sometime in the 1970s.
At their August 21, 2017 work session, council held a discussion about the possible changes. Some of the changes council is looking into include removing the town’s boundaries and to hold a local bipartisan election in November.
The Virginia General Assembly must approve changes to the town charter before they become official.
