Front Royal EDA Elects New Chairman

10 September 2018 News

The Front Royal-Warren County Economic Development Authority has elected a new chairman.

The EDA began its search to fill the position when former chairman Greg Drescher stepped down last month, citing the difficulty of juggling his work there with his other job as Superintendent of Warren County Public Schools. In a special meeting Friday, the EDA selected Gray Blanton to take over as chairman. Blanton joined the EDA board last September, and volunteered for the chairman job after Drescher’s departure. A former pharmacist with business interests in Front Royal, Blanton was quoted as saying that he will run a tight ship while in the position.
