Front Royal looking to fill Urban Forestry Advisory Commission vacancy
Front Royal Town Council is looking to fill a vacancy on the town’s Urban Forestry Advisory Committee.
The six-member committee is responsible for promoting and protecting public health, safety and general welfare for the regulation of the planting, maintenance, preservation and removal of trees in Front Royal on both public property and private property during land-disturbing activities.
Individuals with skills and an expressed interest in urban forestry, landscaping and/or arboriculture are encouraged to apply for the vacant position. Each member is appointed to a term of four years and meetings are held once a month, or as needed.
Citizens of Front Royal or Warren County interested in serving on the committee should submit an application, which can be found here. Applications are due Sept. 1 and should be sent to Clerk of Council Tina Presley at firstname.lastname@example.org or P.O. Box 1560, 102 E. Main St.
