Front Royal Police Officers receive Life Saving Awards

Two Officers of the Front Royal Police Department were honored at the Front Royal Town Council meeting Mon. July 25.

Police Chief Magalis and Fire Chief Bonzano presented Sergeant Eric Suess and Officer Rachel Martin with their respective department’s Life Saving Awards.

The two Officers took action with total disregard for their own safety on June 15.

Officer Martin and Sergeant Suess were able to enter a burning building and pull two immobile residents to safety.

Chief Magalis added at the presentation that the Officers actions will be submitted to the Virginia Association of Chiefs of Police for consideration for their Life Saving Award.
