Front Royal rejuvenates local businesses with Downtown Rebound
The Town of Front Royal and Family Fun Day, Inc. have announced Downtown Rebound, a plan to rejuvenate local businesses in a safe manner as we enter Phase One of Virginia’s reopening. Businesses and restaurants will expand their services, displays and seating areas onto the sidewalk and Main Street. Royal Cinemas will also be showing two movies on an outdoor movie screen, weather permitting; Minions will be shown today, May 23 at 8:30 p.m. and Iron Man will be shown tomorrow, May 24 at 8:30 p.m.
Due to the event, Main Street, Kidd Lane and part of Chester will temporarily be closed off to vehicles beginning today, May 23 at 2 p.m. and ending on Tuesday, May 26 at 7 a.m. Parking will be available at the Gazebo, though only from the Virginia Hale Blvd entrance.
Town officials have noted that this is not a festival. Citizens are still expected to maintain social distancing and follow other health guidelines as outlined in Executive Order 61.
