Front Royal Town Council selects town manager
24 November 2020 Front Royal/Warren County News
The Front Royal Town Council announced it selected Steven Hicks as the new manager of the town. Hicks succeeds Interim Town Manager Matt Tederick, who took over for Joe Waltz when he retired from the position last October.
Mayor-elect Chris Holloway says Hicks was selected because of his impressive leadership in operations, bringing business to communities, developing fiscally conservative budgets, managing enterprise departments, and delivering complex infrastructure projects on-time and on-budget.
Hicks was previously the town manager of Selma, North Carolina. Prior to that position, he was the general services director for the City of Durham, North Carolina.
“I am honored and appreciate the confidence the Front Royal Town Council has in me to lead and be part of a great organization,” said Hicks in a news release. “My daughters are excited to become part of the community while they go to college and for me to be part of the Front Royal team to serve the citizens and businesses.”
