The Front Royal Police Department (FRPD) report the arrest of a Luray man for the solicitation of a minor after a week long investigation.

Mar. 20 FRPD initiated an investigation into the solicitation of minors in Warren County Front Royal.

In this proactive investigation, an undercover agent was contacted by an adult male who thought he was communicating with a 15-year-old female.

The adult male suspect sent unsolicited sexually explicit material to the agent.

Agents identified 35-year-old Luray resident Allen J. Bright as the perpetrator and closed in on him.

Authorities travelled to Bright’s Luray workplace on Mar. 27 and placed him under arrest.

Bright has been charged with 2 counts of use of a communications system to facilitate certain offenses involving children with an April 20 court date in Warren County.

Bright is also being held by Virginia State Police for two additional charges of the same nature.

As always the FRPD request anyone with any information in this case or any case involving the solicitation or exploitation of any minor to contact Detective M.R. Ramey.

You should call 540-636-2208 or email mramey@frontroyal.com.
