Gov. Youngkin calls lawmakers back to finish business

An email from Governor Glenn Youngkin announced a special session of the General Assembly Apr. 4.

The governor wants the lawmakers to finish work on the 2022 legislative session.

In Youngkin’s words Virginians are being squeezed like never before with high gas prices and rising inflation and the General Assembly can deliver much needed relief.

The governor hopes by working with the assembly they can bring the biggest tax cut in Virginia history to reality.

The govern also hopes to establish record investments in education, law enforcement, behavioral mental health systems and other areas.
