Gov. Youngkin donates his 1st quarter salary

An email from Governor Glenn Youngkin announced he has donated his first quarter salary as he pledged he would before taking office.

The Governor announced his first quarter salary will be donated to the Virginia Law Enforcement Assistance Program (VLEAP).

The VLEAP helps Law Enforcement Officers and First Responders who have experienced trauma in their personal lives or in the line of duty.

The VLEAP’s Critical Incident Seminar in Harrisonburg will receive $43,750 from the Governor in support.

The Governor continued that this reaffirms his commitment to support the men and women in Law Enforcement.

Youngkin went on to say this ensures that Law Enforcement receive the mental health resources, training and equipment they need to protect our communities.
