Gov. Youngkin signs 24 bills on behavioral health in Fauquier Co.

Governor Glenn Youngkin was at Fauquier Health Hospital with Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle Sears for the signing of 24 bills.

The bills are a part of the Governor’s Right Help Right Now plan which strengthens insurance coverage for behavioral health services in the state.

The bills are to help reduce the burden on law enforcement and enhance the behavioral health workforce.

These bills address wait times for individuals being held under a temporary detention order.

The bills also help with private health care coverage and bolster the behavioral health care workforce.

Lieutenant Governor Earle Sears referenced her own family’s experience when showing her gratitude for the passage and signing of the bills.

Earle Sears stated that the bills address the growing need and prioritize care before a crisis devastates a family.
