Grant Will Benefit Clarke Public Schools STEM Programs

16 April 2019 Clarke County News

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation has announced that the Clarke County Education Foundation is among 12 nonprofit organizations receiving a total of $250,000 from its annual Good Neighbor Grant program.

The CCEF’s $20,000 of that money will go towards the launch of its STEM+ Academy. The new after school program will target high ability, low achieving 4th and 5th grade students with STEM activities, guest speakers, and special field trips. It will meet weekly for 12 weeks both in the fall and spring. The grant will also help provide financial assistance for students to participate in Clarke County Public Schools‘ 6th annual STEM+ Summer Camp.
