BASYE – The Shenandoah Valley Music Festival received a $20,000 donation from their fundraising arm on Dec. 12.
Shenandoah Valley Music Festival Guild President David Collins presented Music Festival Board chairwoman Leigh Devier with a $20,000 check during the annual Appreciation Luncheon at Bryce Resort. The Guild works year round to raise funds for the festival that takes place each summer. This year’s donation is the largest that the guild has ever presented.
“This is a remarkable group of people,” President and Executive Director of Shenandoah Valley Music Festival Dennis Lynch said in a press release. “We appreciate the work they do and the fun they have in raising money for the Music Festival.”
The Shenandoah Valley Music Festival Guild was created in 1992, and has worked to help fund the music festival ever since. The organization puts together several different local events to help raise funds, including luncheons, raffles and pastry sales. All Guild sponsored luncheons and events are open to the public.
