Handley Trust grants awarded

fiscal year 2021 budget

The Handley Board of Trustees awarded $90,000 in grant money to varies school employees in Winchester.

The trust focuses on programs to expand and enrich the educational experience of students, teachers, parents and the community.

The Trust was established in 1896 to receive and manage the assets bequeathed by Judge john Handley to fulfill the terms of his will.

Among the recipients were members of John Handley High School, Daniel Morgan Middle and Intermediate, Frederick Douglas Elementary and Virginia Avenue Charlotte DeHart Elementary Schools.
