Happy Creek District Wireless Tower May Get Approval
Warren County’s Planning Commission has recommended that Supervisors approve a Conditional Use Permit for a 199-foot-tall wireless tower.
The tower would be located in the Happy Creek magisterial district near the intersections of Morgan Ford and Dismal Hollow roads, and his being sought by MasTec Network Solutions on behalf of Verizon Wireless. The Commission heard concerns from one Morgan Ford Road resident, which were addressed by an attorney for the CUP applicant; they then recommended approval with several conditions, including maintaining the natural forest barrier around the site, and allowing Warren County to place three antennae of their own on the tower when it’s complete. The matter will now go before the Board of Supervisors, who are scheduled to hold their public hearing on January 22nd.
