High Speed Chase Up I-81 Ends in Crash

A drunk driver was arrested in Warren County after leading Virginia State Police on a high speed chase up Interstate 81.
At 1 a.m. on Wednesday (8/14/2019), a trooper attempted to pull over a 2018 Toyota Corolla going 91 miles per hour on I-81 in Shenandoah County. The car refused to stop, fleeing the trooper at speeds of up to 115 miles per hour instead as it continued onto I-66 and into Warren County. It crashed into a guardrail while trying to take Exit 13; the driver, 31-year-old Spencer J. Reiman of Vienna, was arrested on charges including DUI and eluding police. His three passengers– 20-year-old Kitkwan Karlo, 20-year-old Kyle Lujan, and 21-year-old Frederick Maggi–face drunk in public charges as well.
