High speed chase leaves one dead near Winchester

A high speed chase through the streets of Frederick County ended abruptly after a Cadillac rammed two vehicles before flipping over.

The incident began near the Sunnyside area when a Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) Deputy spotted the Cadillac speeding and driving recklessly.

The Cadillac drove toward Winchester clocked at better than 100 mph at times.

The Cadillac struck two vehicles before rolling over and catching fire.

The driver, identified as Kondwani Rogers of Waterford Lane Frederick County, did not survive the crash.

One of the drivers of the other two vehicles was transported to Winchester Medical Center for non life threatening injuries.

The driver of the third vehicle refused medical treatment.

All three vehicles were declared total losses with Route 522 being shutdown for as many as six hours.
