How To Stay Safe During The Heat Wave

The Shenandoah Valley is in the grips of one of the worst heat waves in years.

The national weather service has issued two heat warnings for the Shenandoah Valley for Saturday and Sunday.

Heat index values will generally be between 100 and 104 degrees west of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

This is a reminder that if you are working outdoors during this time, make sure to take plenty of breaks, stay hydrated, and wear loose fitting clothes to minimize the threat of heat illness.
