Humane Society’s Polar Plunge a success
On Saturday, the Humane Society of Warren County hosted their Polar Plunge benefitting the Julia Wagner Animal Shelter. More than 50 swimmers took the plunge for a great cause at the 4-H Center’s Lake Culpeper. A $7,000 goal was set by event organizers. They happily announced the plunge raised over $9,000.
Due to the popularity and unexpected success, the Humane Society hopes this will be the first of many Polar Plunges. The event would have not been possible without the support of their sponsors and community members. The Humane Society is thankful for the efforts that will benefit the stray and abandoned animals of Warren County.
