WINCHESTER – The City of Winchester added another event to their 275th anniversary calendar. The City and the Winchester-Frederick County Historical Society will partner to host an “Inaugural history trivia challenge” at the Bright Box Theater.

Every team at the trivia night will consist of three people, and all the questions relate to Winchester City and the surrounding area. The competition will begin Nov. 14 at 7 pm, doors to the Bright Box Theater open at 6 pm. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door of the event. Advance tickets can be found at the Historical Society Office.

The top three teams will receive cash prizes for their placement. Each team member will receive $100 for the first place finish, $50 for second place and $25 per team member for third place. There will also be door prizes available for the evening.

The City has hosted many events over 2019 to celebrate the 275th anniversary of Winchester. Throughout the end of November to the middle of December, the City will open a “Bough and Dough Shop,” an artisan driven endeavor with fresh cut greenery.
