Independence Day activities around the region
In Front Royal the Colonel James Wood II Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will offer a special reading of the Declaration of Independence.
The reading will take place at the Warren Heritage Society at 101 Chester Street at 11 a.m. Saturday Jul. 3.
Old Town Winchester has a new event on Sat. Jul. 3 Let Freedom Swing begins at 3 p.m..
Let Freedom Swing features two bands and will be held at the Taylor Pavilion.
Clarke County’s Community Band has a free concert followed by a fireworks displayed.
The event is set for the Ruritan Fairgrounds on Main Street in Berryville starting at 8 p.m. Sat. Jul. 3.
Sherando Park in Stephen City will hold their first Jul. 4 celebration for the first time in two years on Sun.

In Luray Downtown Get Down feature food, tunes and booms on Sunday Jul. 4 starting at 5 p.m..
Woodstock’s Shenandoah County Fairgrounds opens gates at 8:30 p.m. for their fireworks spectacular on Sun. Jul. 4.
New Market will hold a celebration on Mon. Jul.5 at their community park starting at 5.
