Jefferson County authorities ID Stephens City man killed

An email from Investigating Officer R. S. Sell of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office confirms the identity of two people killed in an accident in West Virginia.

The accident shutdown Route 340 for approximately two hours at mile marker three South of Jefferson County Sat. Mar. 26.

Michael Kresge 28 of Stephen City and 73 year old Raquel Oracion of Leesburg both succumb to injuries sustained in the accident.

The victims were both transported to medical facilities where they were pronounced deceased.

The vehicle containing Kresge and Oracion appeared to cross the double yellow line and into the path of a vehicle driven by Chona Nguyen.

The vehicles collided with such force that the Kresge vehicle dropped its engine in the road rolled and landed on its roof blocking the road.

Nguyen’s vehicle went down an embankment she was transported to a medical facility for treatment of her injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by Jefferson County Authorities and West Virginia State Police.
