Labor weekend events in the region

A number of weekend activities are planned for the Labor Day Weekend.

Tonight Sept. 2 the 23rd annual Concern Hotline Friday Fish Fry begins at 4 at Frederick County Fairgrounds.

This is Concern Hotline’s biggest fundraiser and features a full fish dinner and live entertainment.

Also tonight Sept. 2 Shenandoah County Fair continues with 38 Special and tomorrow For King and Country.

Saturday Sept. 3 and 4 at Frederick County Fairgrounds it is the second annual Honeycar Barbecue and Brews event benefiting the nonprofit Shenandoah Valley Apple Blossom Festival.

The Appaloosa Festival will be held at Skyline Ranch Resort Sept. 3 and 4 with at least 15 different bands for bluegrass and Americana entertaining hosted by the band Scythian.

For the Benefit of Mr. Gum will be held at Backseat Bar and Grill Sept. 4 with Robbie Limon, Jamie Seeley Band, Mojo Mothership, Off the Cuff and others.

Donations will go towards helping a friend of the musicians recovery.
