(FRONT ROYAL, VA)  If you thought American Democracy was in trouble, you might be right – “Lady Liberty” is scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing on April 26th in Front Royal on felony charges of Malicious Wounding and Use of a Caustic Substance to Inflict Bodily Injury.

On the BRIGHT side for the future of the NATION, in THIS case “Lady Liberty” is an employee of Liberty Tax Services who dresses as the Statue of Liberty to solicit business during tax preparation season.

According to Front Royal Police, Kevin Avery, 26, was on the job Tuesday, March 15 at the Royal Plaza Shopping Center off South Street around 11 AM, when he was confronted by Mason Cullers, 25, over an ongoing “Social Media War” the two were having.

During a subsequent scuffle, Avery regaled in full “Ms. Liberty” outfit, is alleged to have first pepper sprayed, then used a box cutter to inflict multiple lacerations on Cullers’ arm.

Avery is being held without bond at the RSW Regional Jail pending the April 26th hearing.
