Laurel Ridge Community College announced that their Registered Nursing Program has received national re-accreditation through spring 2030.

The program first received accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in nursing in 2017.

The Laurel Ridge Director of Health Professions Kristina Simpson wrote by email that the time and effort that goes into maintaining accreditation is intense.

Simpson went on to say that the effort demonstrates the college’s commitment to excellence and student success.

This program is not required to be accredited but national accreditation through the peer-review process means the program meets the standards of educational quality that is specific to nursing education according to the email.
