Law enforcement: gunfire and chase lead to arrest

Front Royal Police have charged 33 year old Bentonville resident Christopher Rhoades with eluding, reckless handling of a firearm, shooting in or across a road and driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Front Royal Police and Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to gun shots being fired in the 800 block of N. Royal Ave.

Reportedly Rhoades fired several shots into the air after leaving Knotty Pine Restaurant then fled.

More shots were reported in the Manassas Ave. area a short time later.

Law enforcement gave chase which abruptly ended when Rhoades crashed into a home in the 100 block of Polk Ave.

Rhoades is currently held without bound facing court on April 6.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
