LCSO Deputies are injured in vehicle crash

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) reports the injury of two Deputies in a vehicle crash.

The two Deputies were injured while responding to a crash on Watson Road in Leesburg around 8 a.m. Thursday January 11.

While in route to the initial crash near Manbar Lane the two officers of the Loudoun County Motor Unit were struck by a vehicle.

Both officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries, however one officer sustained serious injury.

Both officers were transported to the local hospital for treatment with no word on their recovery at this time.

The driver of the offending vehicle came up from the south crossed the two-lane road and struck the officers near Aldie.

The driver of the vehicle is under the age of 18 but of the legal driving age.

The juvenile remained at the scene and was released to his parents with the crash remaining under investigation.
