LCSO welcomes Sherando graduate back to work

Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) reports that 2012 Sherando High School graduate Camron Gentry is back at work.
On January 2, 2021 Deputy Gentry responded to the report of a shoplifter at the Dulles Crossing Walmart.
Gentry was taking the accused shoplifter into custody at the store when the suspect produced a gun and shot Gentry and 2 security guards multiple times.
Gentry spent 43 days in the hospital and underwent multiple surgeries and began his recovery.
The LCSO was able to welcome Gentry back to full service May 4 after 28 months of recovery.
Loudoun County dispatchers were able to welcome Gentry back over the radio system and commended him for his resolve and passion for public service.
The Loudoun County Deputy First Class Gentry is assigned to the Dulles South Station.
