Lewis, Wexton, and Comstock Win Valley Primaries

The results are in for the Congressional Primaries that took place across the Shenandoah Valley yesterday.

In the 6th district Democratic primary, Jennifer Lynn Lewis won with 47.30% of the vote, 20 points ahead of her nearest competitor Peter VolosinMeanwhile, in the 10th district Democratic Primary, voters picked Jennifer T. Wexton who took away 41.88%, 19 points ahead of her nearest competitor Alison K. Friedman

On the Republican side in the 10th District, incumbent Congresswoman Barbara J. Comstock won a safe victory in her primary against Shak E. Hill, gaining 60.71% of the vote against his 39.29%. The closest primary race by far was for the Republican nomination to challenge Senator Tim Kaine for his seat. Corey A. Stewart won with 44.86%, beating out Nick J. Freitas  with a narrow margin of under two percent.
