Loudoun County murder suspect is apprehended

The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) opened a murder investigation on February 14.

On that date investigators found 19-year-old Sterling resident Michai Dandridge-Carter suffering from a gunshot wound.

Despite lifesaving attempts Dandridge-Carter was pronounced deceased at the scene in Ashburn Virginia.

Further investigation revealed the identity of a suspect in the shooting and requested the public’s help in locating Rashaun D. Owens.

February 26 the LCSO reported that Owens turned himself into authorities at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

Owens is being charged with 2nd degree murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

In addition, Owens in charged with attempted robbery with a firearm.
