Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office investigate a bomb threat

Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) reports responding to an emailed bomb threat that caused the evacuation of Potomac Falls High School.

The investigation identified a juvenile student at the school as the source of the emails.

The teenager has been charged with three counts of threats to bomb.

A search of the school Tues. May 31 after the evacuation found nothing suspicious.

The LCSO was assisted in the search by a number of agencies including the Frederick County Virginia fire marshal’s Office.

The Emergency Management Mount Weather Police Department was also called in along with others.

Out of an abundance of caution authorities have additional personnel at the school today June 2.

The teenager is being held at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.
